Our Foundation
The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce (TCACC) Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization established in 2002, as an affiliate of the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce, to promote community and workforce development in western Montgomery, southeastern Berks, and northern Chester Counties. The Foundation provides funding for initiatives that support the vocational career development needs of the region’s public-school districts as an Educational Improvement Organization as dedicated by the state. Through the Foundation the Chamber also facilitates Leadership TriCounty – a 10 month, professional and leadership development program.
Leadership TriCounty is our tuition-based program administered through the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc. Since its inception in 1993, the program has prepared more than 200 community members for leadership positions in the tri-county area. Each Leadership class is comprised of individuals who have been selected for their potential to expand their involvement in the development of the tri-county area. Each member has made a demonstrated commitment to leadership in both their community and place of employment. These individuals represent business and industry, government, the arts, volunteer and social organizations, education, professional groups, labor, hospitals, and utilities.
Educational Improvement Organization (EIO)The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc. has been approved by the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to receive monies from businesses under Act 4 of 2001, which amended the Public-School Code to authorize tax credits for businesses that make contributions to educational improvement organizations.
