Last month, the focus of my article was one of our core values – Leadership. I mentioned in that article the Leadership TriCounty Program. The Class of 2022 started their journey in September, and I wanted to recognize this unique and respected program in our community. I also want to introduce the 18 members of the Class of 2022. You can find their names and companies on the next page.

Some statistics about Leadership TriCounty:
• Class of 2022 will be our 20th class!
• The very first class graduated in 1993
• There are over 250 alumni of this program

• Out of the 16 companies with a participant in the program, 11 have had previous participants

COVID-19 had an impact on Leadership TriCounty, and we chose not to run the program for the 2020-2021 class year. So, we are elated to be able to provide this great resource to our Chamber Member employees so they can grow and succeed in their roles.

I am a graduate of the class of 2000 (shout out to my classmates still connected to the Chamber!). I went onto be the director of the program from 2001 - 2010 and I find so much value in it that we required all full-time employees to participate.

This program unites a group of strangers, helps them define their goals, provides support as they work toward those goals, and build relationships with their classmates as well as the community leaders they meet and learn from throughout the next 10 months.

To guide the class of 2022, the Chamber has contracted with Jenna Armato, Growth and Success Coach, to serve as Director of Leadership TriCounty. In addition to the program’s existing curriculum, Jenna is sharing her expertise and offering the class access to the following: cohort coaching, group engagement, DISC Behavioral assessment, individual DISC debriefs and group workshop, the Leadership Game, “Another Seat at the Table” Diversity and Inclusion Training with a completion certificate, and a one-hour team session with Jenna for the participants’ individual companies.

We will share stories from the Class of 2022’s experiences over the next 10 months.

If you would like more information on the program or would like to add a name to our candidate list for the class of 2023, please contact me. Leadership TriCounty is something I believe in, and I am passionate about, so I love to talk about it!
