The TriCounty Young Professionals held a professional development event on Thursday, July 13th, where 50 individuals in attendance had the opportunity to grow professionally through networking, learning effective workplace communication, and a chance to receive a professional headshot.

Jenna Armato, Growth & Success Coach, led an interactive discussion on Effective Workplace Communication. Those in attendance learned that effective communication in the workplace can help reduce conflict, build trust, and increase innovation, productivity, collaboration, and job satisfaction. Jenna led the group in exploring specific strategies you can implement to increase communication effectiveness in the workplace.

Each young professional in attendance had the opportunity to receive a professional headshot taken by Moments By Amy Photography. This was important for those starting out in their career, those who wanted to go to the next level professionally, or those who were looking to update an existing photo.

This was the first professional development event for the TriCounty Young Professionals since the program restarted in December of 2022. The group has participated in social events, such as their recent Netwalking event, as well as community service events, such as volunteering at ArtFusion, Schuylkill River Greenways National Heritage Area, and Althouse Arboretum.

The committee is currently planning upcoming events which will include opportunities to volunteer, network, and grow professionally!

The TriCounty Young Professionals is a program for professionals ages 21-40 working in the tri-county area of Berks, Chester, and Montgomery Counties. We are a diverse group of ambitious, visionary young minds from a variety of industries and backgrounds coming together to connect, develop as professionals, and give back to the community. Our vision is to give young professionals the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, establish and grow their networks in the area, serve the community, and access professional development opportunities and resources that facilitate career growth.
