Tip: 5 Ways To Power Up Your Network

Even us—who think about networking all the time—noticed that after the pandemic we had let our networking slide. Being isolated during lockdowns, working from home, and even mask wearing all took away from easy connecting.

Here are our best tips to power up your network:

1. Invite, like, comment, and post more on LinkedIn. Do it daily. This is a way to get back on people’s radar!

2. Start going to in-person events. Think about people in your network who you think might be interested in a specific event and let them know you are going. For us, if we see a cool networking event focused on women, we plan to reach out to other women we know and haven’t seen in a while. (Note: it’s high on our To Do list.)

3. Be the person who makes the invite. Someone has to do it for it to happen! Remember many people work from home so make your catch-up coffee or lunch convenient to where they live. Some people might want to have a reason to go into the office so ask where they want to meet.

4. Don’t forget that you can also reconnect via video. Less of a time commitment required!

5. Pick up the phone. It’s the most immediate way to reconnect.

We want to remind you that you may have to send your invite a couple of times. The whole social part of life is new again to many people.

Make 2023 the year you become a Connector.
